This quilt is inspired by Rhea, another BFF from Alewives. She sent me her La La Log Cabin and although I do not have the courage to cut wonky strips quite yet, I was able to cut 2 1/2 in strips and sew them without a plan. The fabric is designed by our own Vermont Heather Ross. Love the discontented Princess and the Pea. Reminds me of how I feel when I can't sleep!

Two Finished Quilts
Two new quilts...I copied one of my BFF's from Alewives. The amazing Rita designed this quilt and I just had to make a copy. It is going in my Stepson, Charlie's room which is called the Fish Room because he is totally about fish! The fabric is by Julie Paschkis.

Lynn Gets a Lesson
This is my friendLynn, who went to the Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival and purchased three knitting projects. Slight technicality is that she does not know how to knit. Well, she didn't know until yesterday when she arrived with her three projects. She reviewed the three purchases-some Opal self striping Harry Potter sock yarn for a scarf, a hat with Noro Silk garden and Brown Sheep Marino and Alpaca from Snowshoe Farm with a lace scarf pattern. What do you think she wanted to do first? The lace pattern! Can you experienced knitters out there believe it? But this is a woman who decided one day that she wanted to be a Veterinarian with a specialty in Radiology and Ultrasound and by God, she did it! And believe it or not, after 2 hours she had completed two rounds of her pattern and was planning to knit on a 16 hour trip this week-end. Stay tuned for the finished project!

Tractor Love
I love my John Deere tractor and my friends who have them are just as crazy about their tractor as I am about mine! One of those friends is having a birthday soon and I am going to surprise him with a fleece blanket and a barbecue apron. Can you believe how tacky it looks? If you are intrigued, run, don't walk to your nearest Joanne Fabrics for the kit!
