Summer Weather and puppy

Summer arrived on the heels of buckets of rain! We went to see the puppy today and just had to post pictures!

Bird Quilt

I am making this quilt for my friend, Tom who has taught English in high school his entire career...over 45 years! He loves to read and I was hoping this would be a quilt he could grab and use when he was reading, but I am afraid I got a bit carried away and it is 98 x 72. Oh well.

Kathleen's Shower

Well, I have to say that I was a bit insecure about my Melody Miller creations for Kathleen's shower gift given that every time the big, beautifully wrapped gifts moved, mine was left behind for a "not a present, but somebody's bag (see mine cowering beneath the professionally wrapped gifts?)." In any case, I hope she will get the good vibes of Ruby Star Rising in her new marriage!

Ink and Spindle and Ally

Ally is my new quilt model. I am totally hooked on the Ink and Spindle silk screened fabrics. I purchased some fat quarters from Phiona at Nido's and then ordered another quilt kit from Ink and Spindle. I made them for gifts, but I don't want to give them away!

Father's Day

Look what Aretha created from my stash! She is just a little worried about the florals for her father. But seriously, why aren't there more fabrics available that are suited to the male gender???

Puppy Love

Guess What? We are getting a new puppy!!! Here she is at a week and two weeks old!

She Likes It!

I received an email saying that Phoebe slept in her new dress on the first night. I think she likes it!
