Linnet

Ben and Aretha gave me this lovely Nani Iro Fabric for Mother's Day.  I wasn't sure what to make with it until I saw the Plain Pleated Tunic Linnet pattern at Nido's.  I am psyched about wearing this tunic with jeans and over my bathing suit when I am on vacation.  The pattern asks you to add seam allowance which I always find annoying, so I just decided on size Medium, but cut out the Large in order to have an automatic seam allowance.  Worked out perfectly!

Going on Vacation!

I am off to Maine in just a couple of days!  I made the Amy Butler Spice Market bag in Laurie Wisbrun's new line featuring my favorite breed of dogs...and by the way...here is a new shot of Moxie who will be coming home to live with us in just two weeks!

Happy Father's Day

Ben liked his Father's day gifts.  Aretha presented him with the reversable napkins and I gave him a mini duvet for porch sitting on cool Vermont nights.  He proclaimed himself a grateful recipient of Fiber Mondays!

Fiber Monday

Today was Fiber Monday and Aretha was embroidering this mathematical formula for love which she then made into a dishtowel for her lucky friends who are getting married. And I made these little gathered clutches from Noodlehead's tutorial. Don't you just love them?

And finally, thanks to PurlBee's tutorial on the tufted duvet, I made the little summer lap blanket for my daughter's father for Father's day (on top). I figure he can put it on his screened in porch for his guests to use on chilly Vermont evenings. I also made the tag from an idea in Patchwork Magazine with my BSR. Sigh. Back to work tomorrow!
